1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Career Lens. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Career Compass, our AI-powered career prediction tool, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Career Compass or any other service provided by Career Lens, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Career Lens provides Career Compass, an AI-powered career guidance tool that offers educational pathway recommendations and resources to assist users in making informed decisions about their professional futures. While we strive for accuracy, the predictions and recommendations provided by Career Compass are based on the information provided and should be considered as guidance rather than guaranteed outcomes.

3. User Accounts and Responsibilities

To access certain features of Career Compass, you must create an account with Career Lens. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

4. Data Usage and Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. Our use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using Career Compass or any other Career Lens service, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

Career Compass and all other services, content, features, and functionality provided by Career Lens are owned by Career Lens and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws. You may not copy, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, or transmit any of the material from our Service without prior written consent from Career Lens.

6. User-Generated Content

You retain all rights in, and are solely responsible for, the content you post to Career Compass or any other Career Lens service. By posting content, you grant Career Lens a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and display such content in connection with the Service.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities: (1) copying, distributing, or disclosing any part of Career Compass or any other Career Lens service in any medium; (2) using any automated system to access the Service; (3) transmitting spam, chain letters, or other unsolicited email; (4) attempting to interfere with or compromise the system integrity or security; (5) using the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

8. Termination

Career Lens may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to Career Compass or any other service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Career Lens, its affiliates, agents, directors, employees, suppliers, or licensors be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, Career Compass or any other Career Lens service.

Where permitted by law, Career Lens shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage which may be suffered by you, or any third party arising from the Services in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, even if foreseeable. Our total liability to you for all losses, damages, and causes of action will not be greater than the amount you have paid, if any, for accessing our services over the 12 months prior to bringing a claim.

10. Disclaimer

Your use of Career Compass and any other Career Lens service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

12. Changes to Terms

Career Lens reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
